It takes about 30 seconds to unzip the thing its in, then about 2 mins to get it to full length (lots of manipulation needed here), but it goes up faster if there are 2 people! Then all of about 30 seconds to slide it to its full length and the end bends when it bottoms out.

then bang the pointy thing in to the ground and shove it up.

it can stay up all day even in windy weather!
