Alarm bonnet switch

I've just had a Clifford 650 MKII installed in my car and I'm very impressed with it! - love the dual zone proximity sensor!! (it has a warn away zone which is like a bubble around the car - I got the installer to set this quite low so it only extends about the width of the wing mirrors) and then the trigger zone which is anything inside the car. Great for when you want to leave the roof down!! - I also have the windows hooked up as an accessory so I can raise them when I arm or leave them down!
Anyway - point of the post is the alarm switch. When my installer finished fitting the alarm he had some issues with the bonnet switch.. it looks as though it was the original one on the car from the 3G alarm. The long and short of it is that it appeared to be past it's best. A quick check on RealOEM and a quick call to my BMW parts department confirmed that the original part was quite a poor design and has since been replaced twice!! - the new switch apparently has a stronger spring in it (they are still using this part in current model BMW's).
The old switch part number was: 61318352229
The new switch part number is: 61319119052
The switch cost £10 GBP and It's a 2 minute job to swap them over!
