Bye Bye fence ...

Noticed this morning that about 10 metres of my fence was missing. Called the police as no details had been left, but I did find the number plate as can be seen in the picture.
Got the crime reference number etc, but an hour later got a call back from the police stating that they were aware of it as the person driving a Polo (no, not mine) was injured and required an ambulance. However, the police did not know who the fence belonged to. Now, that I find a bit difficult to understand. How can you not follow the fence to my drive and ring the bell? Ok, so the missing fence is about 100 metres down my fence line but surely it can not be that difficult.
Now the joys of going through insurance companies to get it all sorted before gypsies get any ideas about camping there ...
