The external makeover continues..

Post by pangster »

Very happy with how the car's turned out so far (with the suspension and wheels):

I've also now bought brand new ///M mirrors for it (I thought it'd be rude not to for <£150!) - I remember looking at these a little while ago and they were c£300!!.. plus the mirrors on mine just now have a little corrosion around the base.. (don't they all! LOL!) - in addition to the ///M mirrors I've decided to change the side gills - but can't decide which ones to go for - I'm swaying between the ///M side gills and the individual/design side gills:

/\ the Z3 ///M gills do look good in Montreal!! - but then again I've never seen a Z3 with individual gills in the flesh! - once I sort this dilemma out - I think the only other exterior modification I'll do is to fit Hamann fog lights with brake ducts:

I think externally it'll be job done after that! :)

The purists will slate you for putting M gills on a non-M car :thumbsd

The individual ones look odd - I wouldn't choose them (they maybe look better in the flesh?)

Personally I would leave the gills as is.

I know what you mean... If I was going down the ///M gills route then I would fill in and smooth over the ///M as it's a personal pet hate of mine (people badging cars they're not or people adding extra badges unnecessarily!) - each to their own and all that! LOL!

I'm almost thinking about getting them to see what they're like and then punting them on if I don't like them.. I'll give it some more thought! The Internet is hardly awash with pictures of them so I'm a little limited in the visual resource department!
