Well I didn't know this, Golf have been making the Mk1 Golf upto August this year - albeit a facelifted one. The CitiGolf was sold in developing countries and made in South Africa.

The 1.8 r is their quickest version - sub 9 sec to 60. With a bit of fettling, lowering the rear seats and a 1000w sound system, you you get that up to sub 10.
